I became interested in using animal fats long ago while researching traditional salve recipes. they are invariably made with lard, mutton fat or even goose fat for a reportedly luxurious experience.

Ingredients: Distilled water, 100% grass fed tallow, organic jojoba oil, aloe vera, Vitamin E, organic essential oils of carrot seed, frankincense and geranium. Each 4 ounce jar contains approximately 1.25 grams reagent grade Lugol's iodine.

The famous High-odine skin cream. People really love this cream and I've had repeat orders up the yin-yang because people don't want to "run out".

Ingredients:

Distilled water, organic brazil nut oil, palma christi castor oil, organic unrefined coconut oil, vegetable emulsifying wax, organic essential oils of balsam fir, frankincense and myrrh, vitamin E. Each 4 ounce jar contains approximately 1.25 grams reagent grade Lugol's iodine

And the Iodine salve contains:

organic coconut oil, organic shea butter, organic jojoba oil, beeswax, palma christi castor oil, organic lavender oil, organic rosemary oil and Lugol's iodine. Each 2 oz jar contains 312.5mg reagent grade Lugols iodine.

the famous face cream

My iodized creams lose their color very quickly upon standing. Iodine loses color as it adds to a carbon carbon double bond. More info here:

The iodine salve retains its color as the iodine is not truly bound to the fats, it's just mixed really well so that the oils and iodine do not separate. In the creams I use an emulsifier which truly binds the oil and water ingredients.
